If you have irritable bowel syndrome, a syndrome that physicians usually find difficult to cure, why not begin with a solution that is natural and usually reliable, not to point out a whole lot less expensive than prescription medicine? Make yourself a cup of peppermint tea to delight in the very best of peppermint herbal tea benefits.

Peppermint tea is an age-old remedy for many types of stomach pain. In Europe, where several insurance plans pay for herbal teas and also for standard medications, peppermint tea has been put to clinical testing. There’s a substantial body of scientific research that finds it is good for mild abdominal pain, flatulence, and loose bowel movement. It’s better to understand what you are dealing with, of course, since abdominal pain is a sign of numerous conditions, some of them needing immediate medical attention. Although in case you have been diagnosed with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), even your doctor will recommend peppermint tea.

Just like many other herbs, peppermint is useful in moderation and harmful in excess. The tannins in the tea interfere with absorption of iron from food, which is a useful thing if you have hemochromatosis (iron overload disease) and a bad thing if you have iron-deficiency anemia. Men who drink huge amounts of peppermint tea (a gallon a day or so) can experience lowered testosterone levels. Women who use peppermint tea as a douche can suffer contact dermatitis.

You could rinse a minor skin with warm (not hot) peppermint tea as an added amount of protection towards several types of skin infections, including MRSA, but the essential oils in peppermint tea are too much in the body – do not place it in your neti pot. Peppermint tea is meant to be consumed, and about 5 cups (1.2 liters) a day is all your digestive tract requires.

Peppermint herbal tea benefits are also seen in lemon balm (melissa), chamomile, and star anise teas. Since all of these herbs work through their vital oils, you do not want to boil the herb in the process of making your tea. Brewing peppermint tea with boiling water boils the essential oils away. Put almost-boiling water in a covered teapot or teacup, and allow to brew for 3 to 5 minutes. Consume warm, not hot.

Another way to get the benefits of peppermint for intestinal problems is to take enteric-coated capsules of peppermint oil. These capsules only dissolve as soon as they reach the small intestine, saving their volatile oils for optimum effect against irritable bowel syndrome or duodenal ulcers. When it’s not practical to make tea, consider capsules as a great way to get relief of IBS or ulcers.

The other is an active source of caution for ships and watercraft in the nearby Atlantic Ocean or Chesapeake Bay.

Greek Life

There are several colleges and universities in the Hampton Roads, Virginia area that have Greek organizations on campus. Members of national fraternities and sororities may wish to visit or meet with members of other chapters. Some may have met through conventions and the National Pan-Hellenic Council. Virginia Beach student travel is a good time for them to connect. Spring break is also a good time for making new Greek contacts and longtime friends.

Kayaking

Water sports abound in Virginia Beach. The many tributaries of the Atlantic Ocean and Chesapeake Bay offer prime kayaking and canoeing excursions throughout the Hampton Roads area. While ocean kayaking is often reserved for experienced individuals, the Lynnhaven River, Chesapeake Bay, Lake Wright and Rudee Inlet are all prime waters for energetic college students. Night Life

Most spring break vacations in this resort city involve fun activities after dark. Nightlife for the over-21 crowd involves countless restaurants and nightclubs throughout the resort city. Many establishments have outdoor seating on sidewalk cafes or overlooking the scenic Atlantic Ocean beachfront.

One of the most popular is located at the North End. The Lynnhaven fishing pier offers visitors the chance to fish off the end or merely sit and enjoy the warm sun and pungent salt air.

Shopping

The ultimate vacation almost requires some type of shopping. The Oceanfront, inland and Chicks Beach areas are loaded with local shops for souvenirs, fashionable clothes and jewelry. The resort city has two indoor shopping malls and dozens of strips malls, as well. What makes these shops unique is that most of them are locally owned mom-and-pop operations. In many spring break vacation destinations, shopping is limited to national chain stores and regional department stores.

The convenience of Chinese food delivery in Toronto is made even easier by websites that provide detailed listings of menus, reviews and more. Before the popularity of the internet, having food delivered was based on knowing a good place to eat in advance or trying a restaurant out without any idea of the quality of the food. Too many worn menus were kept in drawers with favorites circled. Finally the mystery has been removed with the help of online reviews and websites that allow consumers to make smarter decisions while giving smaller restaurants more opportunity for visibility. With so many options available, though, finding the right restaurant can be a challenge. While it would be impossible to dive into every cuisine, this article offers some insight to help Torontonians choose the most convenient and best tasting Chinese food in the city.

When a person has a desire to order a certain type of food, like Chinese, he or she can run into the issue of not knowing what his or her available options are. A large city, like Toronto usually has many options; however, many of these locations offer subpar quality food and service. Ordering online gives consumers the advantage of reviewing tons of information before hand. This helps reduce the spent time making decisions and lengthy phone calls. Being able to see dishes that other people have recommended is a powerful resource, and helps make ordering extremely easy.

Another advantage of online menus is that a person is able to decide what they want before hand, without being rushed to make decisions on the phone. This is especially useful for large groups trying to coordinate orders for various dishes at once.

For novices of online food delivery, there are a few things to keep in mind. Menus are often divided based on the primary protein as well as a separate section for noodles. Be sure to examine the spice level associated with every meal. Whether you’re looking to add some heat to a meal or looking for a milder flavor you will appreciate the warning online. These indicators are also useful since similar dishes from different restaurants will often vary in spiciness. Another factor that many people are concerned about is MSG, however, most Chinese food is free of MSG now.

The benefit of Chinese Food Delivery in Toronto is the number of great restaurants at your doorstep; this almost guarantees that a great place will be within delivery distance. Ordering delivery adds the simple benefit of not having to leave the comfort of home. While the cost is usually reflective of this particular luxury, it is generally a small price compared to the time invested in picking up food. When a person has traditionally decided to order food his or her options have often been limited. However, by partnering with numerous restaurants, large online food services are now able to offer tons of cuisines and dishes to suit any culinary preference.
